Description
WarmMark® Ascending Short-Run Temperature Indicators – Sample Packs (Pack of 10)
WarmMark® Short-Run time–temperature indicators provide clear, irreversible visual evidence that a shipment has been exposed to temperatures above a defined threshold for a limited duration. Designed for short-term exposure monitoring, these indicators are widely used in cold chain logistics, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food distribution, and clinical supply handling.
How It Works
Each WarmMark® Short-Run indicator is activated by folding and pulling the top tab. Once activated, the indicator begins monitoring cumulative temperature exposure. If the specified temperature threshold is exceeded for the defined period, the indicator window permanently turns red, providing unmistakable evidence that a temperature excursion has occurred.
The colour change is irreversible and time-dependent, making WarmMark® ideal for detecting brief, moderate, or prolonged temperature exposure events during transport or storage.
Understanding the Indicator
- White window: Temperature threshold has not been exceeded
- Red window: Temperature exposure has exceeded the specified limit
Short-Run indicators are designed to respond to exposure above the rated temperature for a defined duration, rather than instant temperature spikes, helping to reduce false alarms while still providing reliable evidence of damaging conditions.
What’s Included
- Pack of 10 indicators per selected temperature threshold
- Multiple ascending temperature options to support validation and testing
- Selected variants include single-window timing formats (8-hour or 12-hour) for defined short-duration monitoring
Available Temperature Thresholds
This sample pack range includes a wide selection of ascending temperature thresholds, allowing evaluation across different cold chain conditions:
- −18 °C / 0 °F
- 0 °C / 32 °F
- 5 °C / 41 °F
- 8 °C / 46 °F (standard, 8-hour, and 12-hour formats)
- 10 °C / 50 °F
- 20 °C / 68 °F
- 25 °C / 77 °F (standard and 8-hour formats)
- 30 °C / 86 °F
- 37 °C / 99 °F

Use & Handling Clauses
- Placement: Apply the indicator to a clean, dry surface on the outside of the package where it can be easily inspected on receipt. Avoid placement where the indicator may be rubbed, crushed, or obscured by labels, strapping, or handling.
- Activation & Interpretation: WarmMark® indicators provide a visual indication that the rated temperature threshold has been exceeded. They do not record the exact time, duration, or maximum temperature reached.
- One-Time Use: Activation is permanent and intended for one-time monitoring only. Indicators cannot be reset or reused.
- Environmental Considerations: Avoid exposing indicators to conditions outside intended use (such as direct sunlight, heaters, chemical vapours, or prolonged condensation) that may affect readability.
- Inspection & Records: Inspect and record indicator status at dispatch and upon receipt. Photographing the indicator in situ is recommended for quality and compliance records.
- Suitability & Liability: Indicators do not prevent temperature excursions or guarantee product condition. They support decision-making and investigation; users must validate suitability for their application, packaging design, and standard operating procedures.
